The Cougar and the Crafter

We finally decided to join the blogging world. We want to use this blog to show our friends and family the fun and crazy life we lead, especially those friends and family who don't live close.

One fun thing we have going on right now is we have decided to join the adults club and embark on the adventure of buying our first home. We picked a realtor and started the search. After not rushing into the process, and really taking our time at looking at everything available out there. Three days into the search  (ba ha) we instantly fell in love with one home in particular and despite the urge to up chuck because of the huge decision we were making, we quickly put in an offer. Unfortunately, we found out the next day someone had beat us to the punch and an offer was accepted the day before.

Slightly bummed, but with a swift kick in the butt from a truly inspired, wise and somewhat short Grandma Elkington we got over it (We would also like to give an honorable mention to Mim, DJ, G-Pa Elkington and the entire Robertson family) We met again with the best realtor money can buy and he told us not to fret we could have this home built and we could even pick the location in any of the developers subdivisions. So after lots of advice from amazing friends and family we decided to build our first home.

And if you are already tired of hearing about the house, don't you worry. Our posts for the next three months will chronicle almost a day by day progress report. We aren't excited or anything! Be patient we will talk about something else someday.

Love Mike & Courtney
